Jeffrey Wayne Walters

Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Walters, 65, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away, December 31, 2024.

He was born in Lerona, West Virginia to Larry Gene Walters and Mary Emogene Meadows Hayes.

Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a mountain man. Jeff worked the Rappahannock River as a waterman. He also worked in construction. He was a hard-working man. Jeff loved children and his dog, Poncho.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Gene Walters; stepfather, L.C. Hayes; and sister, Melissa Walters.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jessie Lynn Walters; grandson, Landon Allison; mother, Mary E. Hayes; brothers, David Walters (Trisha) and Danny Walters; sister, Kim Walters Woodell (Terry); numerous nieces and nephews; and more friends than we can name.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, on Monday, January 13, 2024, at Lexwin Baptist Church, 100 Wainwright Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
