In Loving Memory of Julie Ann Rogers-Cunliffe
Julie Ann Rogers-Cunliffe, 59, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2024. Born on January 14, 1965, in the small town of Manhattan, Kansas, Julie was the youngest of six children, raised by her loving parents Charlene R. Rogers and Willard E. Rogers, who instilled in her a remarkable work ethic that defined her life. Julie was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Jennifer Walker, Stephanie Rogers, and Sara Foster, and a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a granddog: JeRon, Brooklynn, and Emma Walker; Bradley, Eric, and Theodore Foster; and Samson. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, the heart of her world, and the source of her greatest happiness. Julie’s life was also enriched by a circle of loving friends who stood by her through life’s highs and lows. Their support and companionship meant the world to her, and she cherished the memories they created together. Growing up, Julie loved swimming and playing softball, activities that showcased her spirited and determined nature. Those who knew her fondly remember her for her dependability and ability to provide for her family no matter the circumstances. Though she had a tough exterior, Julie’s heart was filled with kindness, and her acts of love often spoke louder than her words. In 2012, Julie’s life took a profound and meaningful turn when she experienced salvation. Her faith became the cornerstone of her life, and she embraced the principles she learned through the RU program at Gospel Light Baptist Church. This program played a transformative role in her journey, and she remained deeply grateful for the impact it had on her. Julie was known for her love of sweets, her humor about not answering her phone, and her unshakeable dependability. Above all, her faith in God and love for her family defined her life. She would often express how grateful she was for the blessings of her
children and grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply.
Julie was one of the sweetest people I’ve met. She loved her family and friends but most of all Jesus. Looking forward to the day we see her again.
Julie was mother to my nieces and I would like to thank her again for loving them like she did. Julie was a force and I admired her ability to navigate her life and to smile about it.
Julie! Oh the bind that Jesus brings! In Christ she became my sister and her girls my family to love. Her testimony, unashamed of the Lord who changed everything, was a blessing! Until you know Jesus as your Savior, until He saves you, you cannot know. You must be born again!
Sweet Julie. I will always hold you dear in my heart. You were a great roommate the week we spent together at GLBC in the little apts there. Watching you grow was such an inspiration to me. You will be greatly missed and so remembered by your faithfulness and your kindness but most of all the examples you shown to others through your immense faith in our Lord. Rest easy.
