Janie Sue McCullough

Janie Sue McCullough, 77 years old, passed away on the morning of October 6, 2024.
Janie was born on January 14, 1947 to Lloyd B. and Doris Gene O’Dell in Potsdam, Ohio. Janie was
a dedicated mother to her daughters, Michelle and Denise, as well as pouring all her love and
affection into helping to raise her one and only grandchild, Nathaniel. Her life revolved around
her family. She had a special bond with Nathaniel, and her daughter liked to say, they were two
peas in a pod. They were always joking, laughing, and enjoying spirited discussions on all their
favorite topics.
After her retirement from years in the retail sales business, she spent her time reading, watching
game shows, trying to pet the family cat (Harley), and keeping up with her family making their
lives easier and better. She was known for her quick wit, dependability, passion and sense of
humor.
Janie was predeceased by Lloyd B. and Doris Gene O’Dell, Kenny O’Dell (brother), Karen Altic
(sister), Joan O’Dell (sister), and Timothy O’Dell (brother). She is survived by her two daughters
Michelle and Denise McCullough and her grandson Nathaniel McCullough.
The family will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 1:00pm –
3:00pm at the home of Michelle McCullough, 836 Clovelly Road, Winston-Salem, North
Carolina.
