Pamela Sue Huey Kelly
1946 - 2024
In Loving Memory of Pamela Sue Huey Kelly
Pamela Sue Huey Kelly, age 77, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024, after enduring a short
battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on December 29, 1946, in Mannington, West
Virginia, to Ethel Pearl Glover Huey and Harold Bell Huey. Pamela will be dearly missed by all
who knew her.
Pamela loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart and was a fearless prayer warrior.
Pam’s unique way of serving the Lord was through the ministry of letter writing. Her
handwritten letters, a testament to her faith, brought comfort and joy to many, marking life's
occasions in a special way.
Pamela is survived by her brother, Jeffery Lynn Huey, in addition to her daughters Erica Kelly
Hege and Monica Kelly Foster (Kent), and her grandchildren, Connor Hege, Sophie Hege,
Hudson Hege, and Sterling Foster, who will continue to cherish her memory. Pam’s love of
baking led to many special memories. One well-loved tradition was baking and frosting
Christmas cookies every year with her grands. Always making sure they had the colors they
wanted to use and understood the best frosting-to-sprinkle ratios. This is a tradition we will
continue for generations to come.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great
Catholic Church (335 Springdale Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27104), where friends and family can
gather to celebrate Pam's life. A luncheon will follow the mass.
Pamela will be interred at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Glen Allen, VA at a later date.
The family would like to express its special appreciation to all those who prayed, cared for, and
supported Pamela in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charlotte Cursillo, an organization dedicated to
helping those who are baptized have the knowledge and conviction to live their faith more
deeply and actively in their daily lives, an organization close to Pamela’s heart.
