Allen Lobdell

Allen Lobdell of Westfield, North Carolina passed away peacefully in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem on Wednesday afternoon and went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ. Now he’s walking on Streets of Gold and fellowshipping with other saints who have gone on before. He was retired following over 30 years of working for the Owen’s Illinois Glass Co. He was a wonderful guy and very kind and benevolent. He is survived by his Brother Brian Lobdell Sr of Sarasota, FL and his wife Jackie and 3 children Brian Jr., Montgomery, and Angela. He is also survived by his Sister Susan Burns of Mc Henry, Illinois. Allen was born in Alton, Illinois on January 15th 1949 and was 74 years old. He attended Jr High and High School in Streator Illinois and played tuba in the school band. He was a graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. He was always meticulous and studious and always thought carefully before speaking. Allen was known as the strong silent type. As a child he loved brusselsprouts. He enjoyed collecting things and was a lover of birds and animals. He will be greatly missed.
