Lawrence Carl Girard
1952 - 2022
Lawrence Carl Girard, 69, lost his long fight with cancer and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 3, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, and daughter. He is survived by his loving ex-wife, Mary Sue Girard, who cared for him during his illness, two sons (Larry Girard II and Scott Girard), three sisters, two brothers, 12 grandchildren and a slew of nieces and nephews.
He loved old Westerns and spent most of his life as a self-employed big-rig truck driver. He also loved to fish and cook, especially spicy foods.
We’d like to thank Trellis Supportive Care and Hospice of Stokes County for all of their love and support during his battle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care (www.TrellisSupport.org) or Hospice of Stokes County.
