Sonya Marie Lester Slaydon was born on September 27, 1971, to William and Patricia Lester. Sonya was a precious and much-loved wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Due to a massive heart attack, she went to be with the Lord on January 13,2022. She is survived by her loving husband, Chris Slaydon; son, Kasey of the home; mother, Patricia Lester; two brothers, William, and Christopher (Susan) Lester and one sister, Amanda (Terry) Whitman. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Callie Slaydon; her father, William Lester and brother, Desmond Lester.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
You should be here….you should be with Chris and Kasey. You should be getting ready for race season with Chris. It’s not fair that God chose to take you from this world. We will never understand why but we do know that you will never be forgotten. That laugh and that smile. Love you Yanya.
It’s so hard to believe u are gone to live in heaven. Seems just like yesterday we all was playing outside. I can not get over u are really gone. U will be missed so much and are loved so much. You are now with Callie your sweet little girl . Uncle Woody ya dad and Des. Your brother .u will not suffer no more pain and suffer no more my sweet cousin more like a sister then a cousin.
